directed by Jimmy Locust, was created for those who
love the Broadway stage, singing, acting and dancing! Even more exciting, Musical Theater/Vocal Performance Class takes trips to the recording studio to train and lay down their vocals.

If this class is of interest to you but you don't feel that your
vocals are strong enough, we are offer SPAC
Vocal Chorale Class taught by Maureen Brown on Tuesday at 6:00 Pm. This class is also strongly recommended for those taking Musical Theater/Vocal Performance class to keep you voice in top shape.

A-Crew

2008-2009

Alison Amicone, Founder

Led by Alison Amicone, A-Crew is a hip hop dance
team for the advanced hip hop dancer. It is a fast and challenging class that will train the dancers to learn choreography quickly, learn intricate formations and project stage presence to the performance level.
As a part of A-Crew, you will have the opportunity to perform at different venues, as last year they were invited to perform at the Stamford Town Center and Westhill High School. SPAC, along with Alison Amicone, are continuously look for new performing opportunities for this amazing group.

A-Crew auditions are open to all ages and will be held on the first day of class, Monday, September 8th at 7pm. This will be held like a regular audition: come dressed, warmed up, be on time and ready to dance. The audition will consist of a challenging hip hop combination and then and Alison will make cuts at that time.

Requirements for A-Crew are as follows:
*Good attendance is a must
*Proper attire (sweats, sneakers, knee pads)
*Dancer must be able to practice choreography on own time
*Positive attitude!

Maureen Brown

SPAC Vocal Chorale Class

After the smashing success of Maureen's vocal classes in this past Year End Performance, she along with the directors of SPAC has decided to bring the voices together to form Stamford Performing Arts Center's Vocal Chorale! This class meets Tuesday's at 6:00 PM (class # 211) and will have many performance opportunities including performing at the Stamford Town Center Mall! Sign up today as this class may fill quickly!

Triple Threat Production Class

This summer Maureen along with Suzanne Rydz headlined the Triple Threat Workshop (see summer session page for more details and pictures with April Berry who plays Sabrina in the hit Broadway Musical Legally Blonde). This workshop was such a knock out that it was added to the schedule as a class which meets Tuesday's 7:00 PM (class # 212). This class involves acting, scene study, singing and dancing. This class will perform at venues with other programs of SPAC.

Maureen Brown is a highly experienced dancer,
singer and performer whose name has been featured everywhere from the theatre playing roles in
Dreamgirls and The Wiz to studio recording artists working with names such as C&C Music Factory
and Bubblin' Brown Sugar.
