Junior Ballet Ensemble & The Nutcracker 2010 in NYC

Please email to reserve a spot at tamara@stamfordperformingarts.com.

**We are looking for students that love to dance and want to commit twice a week to training in a fun & creative, but disciplined ballet class.

The Junior Ballet Ensemble is directed by Tamara Saari.  The ensemble was created to strengthen the technique and passion of ballet students between the ages of 6-10 years.  Students train twice a week in technique and perform in one choreography at the Year End Performance.

The Junior Ballet Ensemble is also invited to participate in The Nutcracker A Contemporary Ballet performed in New York City, December 18th & 19th at the Manhattan Movement & Art Center. The Nutcracker A Contemporary Ballet was choreographed by talented, Giada Ferrone.  For more information on the choreographer and project, please click on the Nutcracker Newsletter link below.

SCHEDULE:

Tuesdays, 5-6pm, ballet technique/ Nutcracker choreography class for all dancers 6-10 years old.

Saturdays, 12-1pm, ballet technique/choreography class for dancers 6-8 years old

Saturdays, 1-2pm, ballet technique/choreography class for dancers 8-10 years old

**More information on the Nutcracker dress rehearsals and show times to be announced.

FEES:

Students must register for both age appropriate classes.  There is an additional $75   Nutcracker Performance Fee.  This fee must be paid in check or cash to Tamara Saari by the first week of October.  Producing a show in Manhattan is a costly, but exciting venture. The fee directly contributes to the payment of the theater, technicians, & professional dancers, helping to create a wonderful performing opportunity for our students.

DRESS CODE:

6—7 year olds:  Students must wear solid burgundy-color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Hair must be in a secure bun.

8-10 year olds:  Students must wear solid black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Hair must be in a secure bun.
