SPAC Rules, Regulations &
Policies
In line with the long-term vision of Stamford Performing Arts Center,
the management reserves the right to reposition students in alternate
classes of appropriate intensity, due to increasing levels of
difficulty. In case such a class cannot be found or agreed upon, the
student has the right to receive a pro-rata refund, based on classes
already taken. Refunds exclude registration fees.
-
An absence of
6 consecutive classes within the 3rd trimester will result
in the student not being allowed to perform with that class in the Year
End Performance.
-
Students 12 and under are required to
be picked up after their class from upstairs in the studio. This is a
safety precaution in more ways than one. A. a child can be hit by a
car in the parking lot, B. A child could possibly be abducted. While
we realize this may be an inconvenience due to the parking situation, an
alternate would be to pick up the child 10 minutes after their class.
At that point the parking lot won't be as busy. Also, while we
understand that some parents have babysitters and/or nannys acting as
caregivers at the studio, it is required that the caretaker provides the
studio with their cell phone number incase an accident or a problem
arises, and the parents cannot be reached.
-
No unattended strollers should be left in the front lobby area.
They should be kept outside of the studio on upper landing.
-
There should be no sitting on the floors, in front of doors or
otherwise, as it is a safety hazard.
-
Elevators are for seniors, disabled, and parents with strollers
only. Students are to use stairs for entrance to the studio
-
Please arrive with your child dressed and ready to dance! Due to
limited space, we are unable to provide a dressing room.
-
Absolutely no gum, food, or drinks are allowed in the studio, with
bottled water being the ONLY exception.
-
Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult at all
times, except during class times. Teachers and staff are not responsible
for any unattended children in the studio.
-
No running, gymnastics, or roughhousing of any kind is permitted to
ensure the safety of everyone in the studio.
-
No animals are allowed in the building, with the exception of
service animals.
-
Please arrive to class 10 minutes early, to ensure that class will
begin and end on time. If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late,
please contact the studio so we may inform the instructor.
-
If you arrive to class more than 20 minutes late, it is the
students’ responsibility to warm up on the side of the room on their
own. No child may begin class without warming up.
-
Dress codes will be given to each individual class-please follow
the guidelines given by the instructor. No jeans, street shoes, skirts,
dresses, recreational shorts, or dangling jewelry are permitted.
-
Do not bring valuables into the studio. Stamford Performing Arts
Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
***IMPORTANT REMINDER-We are located on the 3rd floor of the
building, to ensure the safety of the children, all children under the
age of 13 must be picked up from inside the studio. To prevent
overcrowding, students need to be picked up within 15 minutes of their
dismissal.
